Troubleshoot connections and access

Use these checks when a workspace, QuickBooks company, or AI app is not available as expected.

Make sure you signed in with the account that belongs to that workspace. In Connect, select the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to see the workspaces available to you. If it is not listed, ask a workspace owner to confirm your access.

I connected an AI app but it has the wrong workspace

Section titled “I connected an AI app but it has the wrong workspace”

Changing the workspace in the Connect dashboard does not change an existing AI-app connection. Revoke the app’s access from Authorized apps, then reconnect it from the AI app and choose the correct workspace.

I expected a workspace picker but did not see one

Section titled “I expected a workspace picker but did not see one”

If you have one available workspace, Connect continues automatically. If you have more than one workspace and the picker does not show the workspace you need, stop before using the app with accounting data. Contact support with the AI app name and the workspace names you expected.

First, check that you are in the right Connect workspace. Then open Connectors and QuickBooks Online. A workspace owner may need to connect the company or give you access before it can appear in your AI app.

Start the Connect sign-in from the AI app. Sign in to Connect, choose the workspace, and finish the approval screen. If the app was previously removed from Authorized apps, this creates a new connection.

Sign in to the QuickBooks account that has permission to authorize the company. If the company does not appear during QuickBooks sign-in, ask the QuickBooks administrator to check your access.

If the problem continues, contact support with the step where it stopped and the name of the workspace or AI app involved. Do not send passwords, security codes, or accounting records.
