Understand workspaces and QuickBooks companies
A workspace is the place your team uses in Connect. A QuickBooks company is one set of books inside QuickBooks.
One workspace can contain more than one QuickBooks company. For example, a firm can keep several client companies in one workspace, or keep each client in a separate workspace. The right choice is the one that matches how your team should share access.
The workspace controls which teammates and AI apps can use its companies. Each QuickBooks company remains separate from the others.
What switching changes
Section titled “What switching changes”- Switching the workspace in Connect changes the workspace you are managing in the dashboard.
- It does not move an AI app’s existing connection to the new workspace.
- Switching the QuickBooks company in an AI app changes which connected company the app is using. It does not switch the Connect workspace.
