Connect Claude and Claude Desktop
Claude and Claude Desktop use the same Connect account and workspace choice. Add the connection from Claude’s Connectors settings, then enable it when you start a conversation.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Sign in to Connect and open the workspace that Claude should use.
- In Connect, open Authorized apps, select Add an AI app, and choose Claude.
- Copy the MCP URL shown in the dialog.
Add Connect to Claude
Section titled “Add Connect to Claude”- In Claude or Claude Desktop, open Customize → Connectors. For Team or Enterprise workspaces, an owner may instead add the connector from Organization settings → Connectors first.
- Select Add custom connector.
- Enter a name such as Connect, paste the MCP URL, and select Add.
- Select Connect beside the new connector.
- Sign in to Connect and choose the workspace Claude should use.
Remote connections for Claude Desktop are added from the account’s Connectors settings. Do not add a remote MCP URL directly to claude_desktop_config.json.
Use Connect in Claude
Section titled “Use Connect in Claude”Open a conversation, select Search and tools, and enable Connect. Ask about the companies in the workspace you selected.
