Connect Claude Code
Claude Code can add Connect as a remote service from the terminal. You do not need to put a personal QuickBooks password or token in the command.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Sign in to Connect and open the workspace Claude Code should use.
- In Connect, open Authorized apps, select Add an AI app, and choose Claude Code.
- Copy the MCP URL shown in the dialog.
Add Connect
Section titled “Add Connect”Run this command in the terminal where you use Claude Code, replacing the placeholder with the MCP URL from Connect:
claude mcp add --transport http tactivus-connect 'PASTE_THE_MCP_URL_HERE'Start Claude Code and follow the browser sign-in prompt. Choose the Connect workspace it should use.
Use Connect
Section titled “Use Connect”Ask Claude Code about the companies in the workspace you selected. Review any proposed accounting change before approving it.
