Invite your team and choose company access
An owner or admin invites teammates and chooses which QuickBooks companies each person can use.
Invite a teammate
Section titled “Invite a teammate”- Choose Members.
- Select Invite.
- In Invite Member, enter the Email address. Leave Role empty to add a member, or choose
adminfor someone who manages the team and company access. Then select Invite.
Connect sends an invitation email and confirms Invite sent to that address. The person joins by opening the link in the email. While their status is Invited, select Resend invite email to send it again.
Each workspace has one owner: the person who created it. Choosing owner or stytch_admin in the Role list gives the same access as admin.
Owner. The owner can use every QuickBooks company in the workspace, invite and deactivate people, review the Audit log, open Settings, manage Billing, and delete the workspace with Delete workspace.
Admin. An admin can invite and deactivate people, review the Audit log, and grant company access. A new admin has no company access until it is granted. Settings, Billing, and deleting the workspace stay with the owner.
Member. A member uses only the QuickBooks companies granted to them.
Grant or remove company access
Section titled “Grant or remove company access”Owners and admins change company access. A new admin or member can’t use any QuickBooks company until it’s granted. An admin still sees every company on QuickBooks Online to manage access. The owner already has every company, and that check stays selected.
- Choose Connectors, then QuickBooks Online.
- Open the company’s row actions and select Manage access.
- Check a person to grant the company, or clear the check to remove it. The change is saved when the check changes. Select Done to close.
To update several companies at once, select them and select Manage access. Check a person to grant every selected company, or clear the check to remove all of them. A dash means the person has some of the selected companies. Select the save button. Its label counts the people you changed, such as Save changes for 1 member. Cancel closes without saving.
A company you connect later stays unavailable to admins and members until you grant it.
AI apps and company access
Section titled “AI apps and company access”An AI app uses the workspace chosen when it was connected, and the QuickBooks companies available to the person who connected it. The owner’s apps can use every active company in that workspace. An admin or member’s apps can use only companies granted to that person. After you remove a grant, those apps can’t use that company on their next request.
Deactivate a member or revoke an invite
Section titled “Deactivate a member or revoke an invite”On Members, open the person’s actions.
When the status is Invited, select Revoke invite and confirm Revoke invite. The invitation is deleted.
When the person has joined, select Deactivate and confirm Deactivate Member. Their dashboard sign-in ends. After Connect records the change, it removes anyone other than the owner from the workspace, and their AI apps can’t use its QuickBooks companies.
